Lead judge of The X Factor Gary Barlow has revealed his delight at the high standard of performers on the TV programme this year.
Filming has been going on up and down the country throughout the summer and the show’s first programme is set to be shown on ITV1 this Saturday (August 18th).
Ratings for the show last year dipped slightly on its high standards and there have been a number of key changes made to make it more successful this year, including the introduction of Nicole Scherzinger as a judge.
Barlow said the improvements have been “extraordinary” and is sure that the audience will “love” the new show and the standard of its competitors.
“The category to watch is the Overs. The Overs category hasn’t been taken that seriously in the last few years but it has turned into the biggest contender this year. The standard is superb,” he continued.
